Dr. Nasser Sepehri Javan was born in 1974 in Ardebil, Iran in a traditional big family. He entered into Tabriz University, Tabriz, Iran in 1993 and got his BS in 1997 in physics. After graduation from Tabriz University, he entered into Amirkabir University of Technology, Iran, Tehran where he received his MS in physics in the winter of 1999. His MS thesis was a theoretical study about the free electron laser with electrostatic wiggler. His thesis supervisor was Prof. Behrouz Maraghech who is currently working at Pace University, New York, USA. The results of his thesis were published in an article in Physics of Plasmas (POP 8, 4193 (2001)). The article was about the lasing condition of a free electron laser with an annular electron beam and electrostatic longitudinal wiggler. He could get scholarship from the Ministry of Science Research and Technology of Iran through a national examination. In the winter of 2002, he went to Russia to start his PhD, where he spent his first year learning Russian language. After a year, he entered to the Physics Faculty of Moscow State University and started working on his PhD dissertation under supervising of Prof. Mikhail Victorovich Kuzelev in Plasma Physics field. Dissertation was about theoretical study of Cherenkov instability in the interaction of electron beam with plasma whose results were published in three articles.
